About us
My name is Jeff Jones and as the owner and chief assessor for We Inspect Mold, your timely and accurate, independent mold evaluation is my ultimate goal. I am a Florida State Licensed Mold Assessor (Lic# MRSA-2390) and Home Inspector (Lic# HI-3861) that has been conducting various inspections on a full-time basis since 2003.
We specialize in evaluating residential and commercial structures where mold or air quality is a concern.
We utilize state of art moisture detection equipment, infrared camera technology and air quality sampling devices. We conduct sampling when warranted and have them processed by a leading independent accredited laboratory to identify and quantify the mold that is present.
Following your inspection, I will physically walk you through the areas of concern, and provide a detailed inspection report with photographs and a summary of the finding.
This report will include the independent laboratory results of any samples that were collected to verify whether or not any toxic or unusual mold conditions exist.
WHY CHOOSE US
Unfortunately, too many companies in the field will automatically say YES, regardless of what you tell them or what they find and most Mold Remediation Companies are looking for remediation jobs, which makes them less than independent. Mold inspection and testing companies usually work for homeowners, business owners or insurance companies, and we assess the risk of potential damage that might have been done by a water leak or flooding which can lead to mold growth. If there are indications of excessive moisture in walls, ceilings or under floors from a a leaking/broken pipe or flood damage, then this could indicate that a mold problem may be present.
A Licensed Mold Assessor will attempt to prove whether or not any mold is actually growing in areas of the home or building, assess what type of mold it is (as some molds are more toxic than others), and what might be the cause of the excessive moisture conditions.
Home and building inspection reports usually include an assessment of the moisture conditions inside of a building, as well as whether or not there's any evidence of mold growth. It is difficult for a home inspector alone to determine what types of molds may be growing, so this is when you may need a Licensed Mold Assessor to evaluate the area.
Often times independent lab testing is needed to determine the types of molds present and the amounts of each, especially toxic black mold.
Tests for mycotoxins should always be done with any samples collected from walls, floors and the indoor air, which have mold growth or spores so the proper remediation steps can be taken based on the level of toxicity found.
Tests also need to be done before and after all mold removal work is performed so it's known whether or not all the mold was eradicated and there are no further health risks.
You notice growth that you suspect to be mold but are not sure. This growth could be along your walls, floor, furniture, or ceiling and start of as a discoloration spot.
You start to experience allergic reactions to pathogens you suspect could be from mold. Such allergic reactions include coughing, sneezing, skin irritation, eye irritation, inflammation of the throat and lungs, as well as asthma.
You detect the musky odor that you suspect could be from mold.
You discover an existing moisture/dampness/humidity problems that you suspect could cause mold growth on your property.
You have had plumbing leaks or flood damage in the past, that have been repaired.
There are some instances when it is highly advisable to seek a mold inspection service to protect your future:
If you plan on buying a house, you should seek a mold inspection first as part of your due diligence. This will save you from the frustration and hefty expenses of buying an infested house that is in need of mold-related repairs.
If you plan on renting or leasing a property, it’s a smart idea to get the space inspected for mold first. Just like in the case of buying a house, doing so can save from you the headache and expense of mold-related repairs and issues with the landlord.
Has a contractor recently completed a mold remediation project for you? Seeking another inspection right after is a prudent way to verify that the job has been done right and that the property is now mold safe. This should be completed by a seperate dis-interested third-party inspector.
Everyone deserves clean indoor air. If you think you’re being shortchanged on this, seek our mold inspection services and find out the truth behind what you are breathing. Multiple doctor visits and specialist referrals will quickly add up, and the source to your ailments may be from the air you are breathing within your home or office.
